Summer Frisson 2007 - Humourous Gleanings from Various Sources
Letters from Camp
Dear Mum and Dad
We're having a great time here at Lake Typhoid. Scoutmaster Webb is making us all write to our parents in case you saw the blood on TV and are worried. We are OK. Only one of our tents and two sleeping bags got washed away. Luckily none of us got drowned because we were on the mountain looking for Sam when it happened.
Oh yes, please call Sam's mother and tell her he's OK
Further Humourous Gleanings - Have you got AAADD?
I went to the doctor yesterday and have been diagnosed with Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder. This is how it manifests itself:
I need to wash my car. As I start towards the garage, I notice there's mail on the hall table. I decide to go through it before washing the car. I put my keys down on the table, put the junkmail in the bin and notice the bin is full. So I decide to put the bills back on the table to take out the bin

The "Wisdom" of Sam Goldwyn
They say it's not as bad as they say it is.
It's spreading like wildflowers.
We'll jump off that bridge when we come to it.
Don't count your chickens before they cross the road.
Gentlemen, include me out.
I'll give you a definite maybe.
Shakespeare is fantastic - and to think he wrote it all with a feather.
Don't pay any attention to the critics
