Coming to St Margaret's this Autumn

Mark Ley writes:

Need more joy in your life? Perhaps more peace? Maybe the power to overcome sin? Or are you really comfortable but missing something? The "Sons and Daughters of the Living God" course is designed to lift our spirits, to remind us of what the Living God can do in your life, or if you have a deep rooted faith to re-new it afresh. With our God there is always more and he is waiting to give it to us just as it says in the Book of Revelation, chapter 3 verse 20:

"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door; I will come in and we will share a meal together as friends."

This cpatures the idea of the course, i.e. helping us to develop a growing friendship with Our Lord and harmony with the way the Holy Spirit works around us. We ran the course two years ago and it had a wonderful on those who came, as they will tell you if asked. if you come, you are likely to see in your life, more of the fruits listen in chapter 5, verses 22-23 of St Paul's letter to the Galatians:

"Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulnes, gentleness, and self-control"

The course will run on Tuesdays, from 8:00 until 9:50 for five weeks starting on 18th September and finishing 16th October, and also includes Saturday 13th October 10:00 to 4:30. It is aimed at people who are already Catholics and want to deepen their faith. (There will be an Alpha course after Easter 2008 for those who no longer come to church or are non-Christian).

More information will be given out nearer the time, but for now we want to say that it is running in autumn so taht you can plan ahead. We have prayed a lot about it and we are confident that it will have a great effect on the parish.
